FAQ

Answers to the questions I get most — about travel, filming, the channel and working together.

Travel

What is the best time to visit Nepal?

October–November and March–April are the most popular, with clear views and comfortable temperatures. Winter is quieter and crisp; monsoon (June–September) is green and wet. See the Plan Your Trip guide for more.

Do I need a guide for trekking?

For some areas, yes — restricted regions like Manaslu require a licensed guide, and rules change. Even where it isn’t required, a local guide makes the trip safer and far richer.

Can you recommend guides, homestays or routes?

Often, yes. Send me a message with your dates and interests and I’ll share what I can.

Filming & the channel

What camera do you use?

A small mirrorless camera with a zoom and a fast prime, plus good audio. The full list is on the My Gear page.

How long does it take to make a video?

A short vlog can take a few days to edit. A documentary can take weeks of filming and longer in the edit.

Do you teach filmmaking?

Yes — see the Travel Filmmaking Course page and register your interest.

Working together

Do you work with brands and tourism boards?

Yes, when the fit is right. See Work With Me and the Media Kit.

Can I use your photos or footage?

Please ask first. Most material can be licensed, and I’m happy to discuss community and non-profit use.

Do you edit videos for others?

Yes — editing, colour, sound and thumbnails for creators and businesses. Use the contact form and choose “Filming / editing work”.

Didn’t find your answer?

Send me a message — I read everything myself.
